1851 Census - Compton:  Edmund CATCHLOVE wife Margaret (born in Ireland) and three of Edmund & Jane’s sons: George and Alfred - both labourers - and Edmond.

1861 Census - Compton:  Edmund CATCHLOVE - now employed as a woodman, with Margaret and his son Edmund.  Alfred has disappeared from the records - no death is listed for him.

1871 Census - Malderton, Stoughton: widow Margaret living alone working as a laundress.

The marriage of Edmund’s parents Edmund and Mary Ann is “pinked in” as it is the only marriage I have identified which fits; I can only assume that Mary Ann hailed from Portsea and they married in the bride’s parish, as was the custom.  More recently, I have realised that Matthew & Ann, who married in Chichester in 1747, are the progenitors of both Family 2 and of Family 4.   Eddie HANN provided details of the latest generations.  Thank you, Eddie.
